The qualifying percentile in JEE (Main) to be eligible for JEE (Advanced), the gateway to 23 Indian Institutes of technology (IITs), registered a five-year high for the reserved category and a four-year-high for the general category candidates this year. Above-normal temperatures likely in April-June: IMD
Most parts of northwest India, including Delhi-NCR, may not see a heatwave in April, mainly till the middle of the month, but the situation in east, central India and western parts of (coastal areas) Gujarat and Maharashtra will be difficult as these regions will face "above normal" temperatures and more number of heatwave days this month, said the India Meteorological Department on Saturday in its monthly outlook for the summer season.
