Covid-19 live: India sets new world record with over 2.5 crore vaccine doses in a day

India set a new world record on Friday with over 2.5 crore vaccine doses administered across the country, surpassing the previous record of 2.47 doses by China in June. SC recommends new CJs for 13 high courts

The SC collegium led by Chief Justice of India N V Ramana on Friday recommended appointment of eight high court judges as chief justices of various HCs and transferred five HC chief justices as head of other HCs, thus taking steps to put in place new chief justices in 13 states. The collegium also recommended transfer of 28 high court judges from their present HCs to other HCs.
