8 ft-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla idol

The Ram temple in Ayodhya will have an eight-foot-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla's idol. The throne, being made by artisans in Rajasthan, will reach Ayodhya by December 15. The temple construction work has been intensified, with the ground floor expected to be ready by the same date. Ram devotees have also donated gold and silver items which will be melted down for safekeeping. The first floor is 80% complete, and the construction of the sanctum sanctorum is finished. The work on other areas of the temple is also progressing.

Only three online companies offer minimum wage

Bigbasket, Flipkart, and Urban Company have implemented a minimum wage policy to ensure their workers earn the local minimum wage. The Fairwork India Ratings 2023 report revealed that these platforms have met the minimum wage policy criteria for the second consecutive year. Urban Company plans to onboard an external auditor to conduct audits of its payment calculation and reimbursements. However, no platform scored more than six out of ten points across the five Fairwork principles.

Maratha quota agitators torch 2 NCP MLAs’ homes, offices

Protesters in Marathwada's Beed district set fire to the bungalow of NCP MLA Prakash Solanke, demanding reservation for the Maratha community. There were also reports of self-immolation attempts. Several other properties, including the NCP district headquarters and a hotel, were torched. Authorities imposed curbs on gatherings in the area and most government offices were shut. Kerala Convention Centre blasts: 'Had just closed eyes to pray, then there were blasts & fire'

A 14-year-old boy named Ashwin and several others were injured in back-to-back explosions at a prayer session in Kochi. Ashwin, who had traveled with his mother to the venue, suffered hand and face injuries. A nurse named Aksa also suffered burns on her hands. Attendees stated that the organizers had given a safety demonstration, which helped reduce casualties. One attendee named Abhishek risked his life to save elderly people and had to be shifted to the ICU due to smoke inhalation.
