Krishan Midha of the ruling BJP defeated Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) candidate Digvijay Singh Chautala by a margin of 12,935 votes. Meanwhile, in Rajasthan Congress candidate Shafia Khan won the Ramgarh assembly seat taking party's tally in the 200-member House to 100. She defeated her nearest rival, BJP’s Sukhwant Singh, by a margin of 12,228 votes.
