Imran loses numbers game as key ally walks out ahead of vote

Pakistan’s embattled PM Imran Khan saw his majority in the National Assembly slip away on Wednesday after the Muttahidda Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), the key ally on whom depended the government's survival, walked out of the coalition to join the swelling opposition ranks ahead of the no-trust vote. MQM-P’s announcement followed Imran’s meeting with army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI boss Nadeem Anjum.
